Alexandria, VA — December 4, 2024—DNPs of Color (DOC) is proud to announce Dr. Varsha Singh, as the keynote speaker for its December 2024 Virtual Commencement Ceremony. This event celebrates the accomplishments of the graduating December Class of 2024, marking another milestone of achievement for the newly minted doctoral nursing practice professionals.

Dr. Singh is a trailblazer in the nursing profession, known for her transformative leadership, commitment to mentoring underrepresented nurses, and dedication to advancing health equity. As the Neuroscience/Stroke Program Manager at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, Dr. Singh has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to improving healthcare outcomes and fostering innovation in nursing practice.

A champion for diversity in nursing leadership, Dr. Singh’s contributions align closely with the mission of DNPs of Color. She serves as a mentor in DOC’s My DNP Manuscript Publication Mentorship Program, guiding emerging nurse leaders in translating their scholarly work into impactful publications. Her work has empowered countless DNP-prepared nurses to make meaningful contributions to healthcare and advocate for systemic change.

Dr. Singh’s impressive career also includes her service as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) State Liaison for New Jersey and her tenure as a leader within the American Nurses Association. Her inspiring journey and dedication to mentorship make her the ideal speaker to encourage the Class of 2024 as they embark on their professional journeys.

The DNPs of Color Virtual Commencement Ceremony will take place on December 21, 2024 via Zoom.. This celebration honors the achievements of the graduating class and reflects the organization’s commitment to building a diverse and inclusive community of DNP-prepared leaders.
